Studio pricing is variable and dependent on the size of structure, the selected finishes, and any additional specifications.

Development assessment – Can be arranged on your behalf

Each site will require assessment regarding its compliance with the Exempt or Complying Development codes. If the codes cannot be met due to site constraints a Development Application may be needed. Approvals and documentation can be organised on your behalf.

We readily service the Greater Sydney Region, south coast of NSW and southern highlands, but are open to all enquiries.

 

Do we need Council approval?

Please refer to our Options page which details the relevant approvals required for different sizes. Depending on your site and the size of the structure, you may be able to meet the Exempt or Complying Development Codes. This necessitates a very simple application rather than a Development Application.

 

Can you have/include bathroom and/or a kitchen?

Granny flats permit both a bathroom and kitchen.

A studio permits a bathroom.

 

Does it meet requirements for bushfire?

The buildings can be built to meet Bushfire Attack Level (BAL) 29.

 

Is the building termite resistant?

The floor members are termite resistant, and an ant cap system is installed to facilitate visual inspection.

 

What is the building process?

 

Process for exempt development

Must be under 20m2 and the ridgeline must be below 3m from natural ground height.
Step 1 – site assessment
Step 2 – pricing based on your selection of finishes
Step 3 – order windows and specified finishes
Step 4 – construction

 

Process for complying development – Studio

The Studio must be under 35m2 and the ridge line must be below 3.6 from natural ground height.

Step 1 – site assessment
Step 2 – pricing based on your selection of finishes
Step 3 – submit application to Council for quick approval under the complying development code.
Step 4 – order windows and specified finishes
Step 5 – survey the property to identify and mark required setbacks
Step 6 – construction

 

Process for complying development – Granny Flat

Must be under 60m2, and meet the complying development codes for Granny Flats.
Step 1 – site assessment
Step 2 – pricing based on your selection of finishes
Step 3 – submit application to Council for quick approval under the complying development code.
Step 4 – order windows and specified finishes
Step 5 – survey the property to identify and mark required setbacks
Step 6 – construction

If the site constraints do not allow for complying development, then a DA can be submitted.
